My Aim In Life
By Jessika KC
Sometimes you would say
You had a dream.
Sometimes you would say a piece of it
That you knew what you wanted to be
But for me?
I wouldn’t be greedy.
I would wait
For whatever comes forth.
My aim is at the target
Where if I fail
I don’t seek success
Under whatever is there to find
I must use it to open my eyes
This here world unlocks stories
That are yet to discover
That whatever we do can determine the future
Our passion can define ourselves
But it won’t define your abilities
There are hundreds of possibilities
That you can seek
And by that there are no means
To predict the opening of what is in them
Once you see a shooting star it goes away
Meaning not all dreams stay
Some may go and some may fade
Once you see one
Airplanes fly with fuel and a pilot
Imagine you as an airplane
With fuel but no pilot.
It would be meaningless
Like the purpose of us
Having the ability to have our abilities
To soar high with them
But not showing it and appreciating it properly.
I want to seek the true meaning of what I fully possess
Not what other people think of what I’m best at
But what I think I’m best at
So whenever you think you don’t fully poses what you fully have
Try to think about
What you can do
That you can’t conquer
